I decided to use something other than a flower or leaf today as my base image, instead I used a cool little wooden sculpture of a pair of giraffes that I received as a beautiful gift from two new friends from the Ukraine, Vlas and Karina. I photographed it where we have it displayed and experimented with the image in Photoshop and this was the resulting piece:
