This was one of the last flowers blooming this year in our moon garden. All of the flowers in the moon garden are primarily white or cream to be enjoyed by the glow of moonlight. This particular ginger, however, occasionally sports a reddish tint in the center of the petals and I really pushed the red color in this piece. I used multiple filters for this work, including a pass through Dreamscope to give it a more painterly feel.
